I think incorporating technology and nature is going to be really important as future educators, as the more things move online, there seems to be more of a divide between nature and the technology we use.

During the presentation there were so many interesting ideas on how technology can be used alongside nature. Taking the nature walk outside was a great way to not only be involved in our surroundings, but also using google lens gave us an engaging way to learn a bit about the world around us. However, there is going to be times when either the outdoors is not accessible, or students do not have access to individual devices. I think it will be important to have other ways to incorporate nature with technology, such as ChatterPix.

Minecraft Ecosystem

For my reflection this week, I used Minecraft to make an ecosystem, which I think would be an interesting project to have students try. I also think Minecraft could be used to demonstrate many different things learned about in the classroom, such as a weather system.

Final thoughts

I think there are so many ways that technology and nature can be used in education together, and I am fascinated to see what ways my peers and other teachers connect the two.
